Understanding Boomerang Returns

Boomerang Returns manages returns through Cases. Each Case represents a customer’s return request and can include up to four steps:

  1. Request: Customer submits a return request through the form.
  2. Return: Physical return of items to your store.
  3. Refund: Issuing a refund to the customer.
  4. Restock: Adding returned items back to your inventory.

Cases start when a customer submits a return request.

Important Settings to Review

  • Return Eligibility: Set criteria for which orders are eligible for returns (e.g., time limits, order statuses).
  • Automation: Decide which steps you want to automate vs. manage manually.
  • Refund Methods: Configure options like store credit or original payment method refunds.
  • Email Notifications: Customize emails sent to customers during the return process.

Remember, you can always adjust these settings as you become more familiar with the plugin and your return process evolves.
